LEADS Report
LEADS 2021 Report released yesterday. The "Logistics Ease Across Different States" (LEADS) 2021 is a joint effort of the Dept. of Commerce, State Govt. and Logistics Stakeholders. First time the LEADS report was released in 2018. LEADS 2021 is third in line as it was not released last year due to Covid-19. The report analyzes the business environment at the state level pertaining to logistics infrastructure, policy framework and regulatory regime. It provides a further suggestive roadmap to States and UTs along with a detailed list of reforms and best practises followed by other States and UTs to learn from. The report clearly indicates State-wise recommendations on infrastructure gaps, policy and regulatory support needed for further improvement of logistics efficiency. The LEADS 2021 report has ranked States and UTs based on the efficiency of their both EXIM and Domestic Logistics ecosystem.
